From September 19 (Saturday), 2026, to November 3 (Tuesday), the event 'Autumn Garden of Dahlias' will be held at Ueno Toshogu Shrine Peony Garden (上野東照宮ぼたん苑). Over 200 plants of 120 different dahlia varieties will be on display, allowing visitors to enjoy the variations in color and shape. Particularly, the Akita prefecture's original variety 'NAMAHAGE Dahlia' is a must-see.
Admission is 800 yen for adults, and free for elementary school students and younger, with daily hours from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Visitors can also enjoy beautiful views of traditional umbrellas and five-story pagodas, making it a fantastic photo spot amidst the autumn flora.
